ACTION ITEM - Monthly bills for July 2014
ACTION ITEM - Renewal of the Health District Information System (HDIS) Software 1-Year Maintenance Agreement for the period 08/10/2014-08/09/2015. The total fee for the maintenance agreement is $775.66.
ACTION ITEM - The ODH Billable Vaccine Pilot Project has come to an end and local health departments (LHDs) must now puchase vaccines privately for children with private insurace coverage. This buying group was recommended by the Ohio Department of Health Vaccine Unit, to purchase all vaccines at reduced cost from suppliers. The buying group is facilitated by the Minnesota Department of Health. Avita Pharmacy currently purchases through multiple suppliers; contracting with a single buying group simplifies the purchase of vaccines.
The City of Galion has contracted with CivicPlus for the development of a new City-wide website. The Health Department has several options reference websites. Mr. O'Leary and Ms. Olivia Roston, both of whom attended web team meetings in recent months, will be asked to share information about those options.
Dr. Novack advised at his last Board meeting that he would stay on as Medical Director for 3 months, which would be through October 9. The insurance companies we are credentialed with require a current and valid Medical Director signature for approval. We are trying to plan ahead as it will undoubtedly take some time to process the revised applications.
