ODH After hours Reporting Drill with ODH

Reminder to BOH members that two (2) hours of continuing education are required to be completed each calendar year, per ORC 3701.342.
Verification sheets (attached), and copies of certificates (if applicable) need to be submitted to Health Commissioner. There is an applicable training on Sunshine Laws (very good for new members) availablevirtually at the following link: www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Legal/Sunshine-Laws/Sunshine-Law-Training There are also On-Demand classes that you may take on their website for CE's.

Notes Per Michael Bear: 

I’m not comfortable approving the waiving pay as equivalent to unpaid. I think R.C. 121.221(A)(5)(a)(iv) applies even if the members forgo the pay.
(5)(a) No public body may hold, and no member of a public body may attend, meetings or conduct and attend hearings by means of video conference or other similar electronic technology if any of the following apply:(iv) Excluding expense reimbursements for actual expenses incurred while fulfilling their duties, the members of the public body are compensated for their position as members of the public body.
I would also note that the statute would have required you to define “major non-routine expenditure” as part of the policy.
