    6. Reports

    6.1 COVID-19 Updates

Emily has dealt with numerous community COVID-19 outbreaks during the month of September.
We have been busy with ODH updates on a daily basis, COTS updates, Binex- at-home test kit disbursements and ordering, and numerous questions from businesses, schools, and the public.
Staff is under a lot of stress in this current environment of the pandemic, and being short-staffed does not help.  We are hoping that the implementation of the Workforce Development Grant alleviates some of the extra stress.

    7. Old Business

7.1 Appointment of a Health Commissioner

    Next steps
Moving forward, it is impossible to do both positions any longer (meaning health commissioner and EH Director simultaneously)  The Environmental Health work is behind.

Dustin withdrew his application for the health commissioner position.   WE did pay to post it on NAACHO, and we are looking into additional pay sites.  Other applicants will be forwarded to Ms. Burgin; however, no one appears to have the 2 years minimum of public health experience.

7.2 Director Positions reinstated as Non-Exempt

Emails were sent to the law director, but there has still been no answer.

7.3 Request for Additional Employees' Cell Phone Stipend

This agenda item was posed to the superintendent, and the school is stating that use of the personal cell phones by the nurses are their own choice.  She currently states that the clinic phone and the walkie talkies are sufficient.
