Galion Board of Health Meeting

Ms. Sandy Crossland submitted a letter of resignation on January 26, 2015, with an effective date of March 6, 2015. Ms. Stephanie Zmuda requested at the regular meeting on January 20, 2015, that the Board consider her resignation from the Health Commissioner position and allow her to return to the Director of Environmental Health position. Her letter of resignation will be presented at this meeting. Ms. Zmuda will also provide an update on filling the Director of Nursing position.  

The Board and staff will welcome new member Mr. Wade Cramer, Director of Nutrition at Avita Health System, and recognize the many years of service of retiring member Mr. Doug Schilling. The Board may consider electing officer(s), as Mr. Schilling's retirement leaves the President Pro Tem position vacant.  

A legislative copy of the Galion City Health Department Personnel Policy & Procedure Manual was previously submitted for Board members' review. Funds for the project to revise the manual were budgeted in 2014; we were fortunate to be able to roll the funds forward to 2015, but time is of the essence in completing the project and expending the funds. The Board will be asked to consider adopting the revised manual in its entirety.
